What Happened This Day
When I was about eight years old, I received a printout from a dot matrix printer of different things that happened on the same day as my birthday and celebrities who shared the same day. In the late eighties / early nineties, this was an amazing fete. Getting these details required a team of researchers.
The store that offered the printouts was akin to a Hallmark store and sold birthday gifts, balloons, and cards. I’m not sure how much the service cost but it seemed like a true enlightened experienced.
Now, we can find out that information in less than a second. It’s a trivial task. I’m wondering: what information-based products we use now that we’ll find quaint in the coming years?
