Waiting Out The Storm

If we had a definitive answer for how long we’ll be holed up, would we be comforted? What if the answer was seven months? Would we rather sit thinking (more happily) it was only going to be one or two months and have our hopes dashed every few weeks?

Let’s say it’s a year. Let’s say there is wave after wave that means that for two years we’re set up this way. Are we then relieved when it doesn’t come to that? Or elated? Or…
