What happens when there is no real limit on the amount and rate at which you can stream information? What about the rate at which the information can be processed?

I’m about to hit up the Mobile World Congress, and I was thinking about Peter Diamandis’ predictions for 2020 that include gigabit wireless Internet. What happens in terms of voice processing when it’s free to do so?

Do you end up with mics that are constantly streaming audio with minimal local processing?

In that case, does local far field audio processing disappear?

Can we now extract much more environmental information through audio processing?

It’s an interesting thought exercise but this will be a reality within the decade.
