The End Of Audacity?

I really enjoyed this and feel the same. “The future ain’t what it used to be.” Where are the thralls of people waiting for the next Microsoft, Google, or Apple event? It seems that all of the events, even for smaller companies, feel the same. Companies are more interested in incrementalism vs chasm a chasm like in the Innovator’s Dilemma.

Today, my father looked at my phone and said “oh, you have an iPhone?” Nope. I have a Samsung Galaxy. The two flagships have converged to a very similar look.

Even the Samsung foldable phone didn’t seem that extraordinary.

The incredible future that AI will deliver is not that far away. Yes, people are jaded from years of launch events that would “change the world” but were the same as the previous year. However, we have to continue to be willing to launch and talk about how our products are different than ANYTHING that has been seen before… except in science fiction.

Thought reading, teleportation, light speed, living forever. The next product announcements should include these if they want to capture the imagination.
