That’s Not Supported Yet

That was the response Alexa gave me when I asked for my Internet status. It was a random thought to try to see if the Echo could give me feedback.

However, I’m not convinced that Alexa understood what I had requested.

There was probably a bucket of intents that this request fell into for items that aren’t supported. Otherwise, I would have received the response for the intent “I don’t understand”. However, it would be good for me to know that Alexa understood what I was asking for in case it had misinterpreted.

“Checking Internet status is not currently supported”

Even better, it would be good for the service to let me know that it will inform me when it does become enabled.

For those working on or prioritizing new features on Alexa, such information is a gold mine of customer data.
