Thank You, Seth

I’ve been a huge fan of Seth Godin and in the most recent episode of his podcast, Akimbo, he answered a question I had posed to him a few weeks ago. First, it’s hugely generous of him to answer questions from fans. Second, his answer was very insightful.
My question, paraphrased, was this:
How do you find the strength to be remarkable when it means breaking norms?
His answer, summed up, was that you can find the strength to break social norms when it’s in service of others. He also gave a great definition of the idiom of throwing something over the transom.
