Solving the Maze

Visiting an indoor playground with my kids last weekend, I was reminded that WestWorld is starting up again soon when I stumbled across this maze (in a maze of its own). It has the label “Maze” so that you now it’s a mze.

This particular maze is confusing — it’s not immediately clear if the start is on one side or the other and if you follow the lines or use them as borders (it’s the lines). I also particular like that the end of this maze is “Fin ish”. It’s not quite the finish… it’s just finish. Why? Because you can continue through the end to go to another start.

To its creator, this maze activity must have been abundantly clear. However, it’s really confusing. It reminds me that we can always do a better job at explaining the things we’re working on and making them more intuitive.
