“Hey Google” didn’t work in the car like it usually does. Pressing the mic button on Android play didn’t help. It was only in a second as attempt that the mic started working.
We experienced many versions of this problem even since Ubi days. Android/Linux doesn’t release the mic resource from another app and the trigger word or voice recognition doesn’t work.
In a driving scenario, this can cause distraction. In normal use, it will cause users to abandon voice altogether. This is still an area improvement for Android.
