Proactive Alerts on Alexa

Just past midnight, my phone rang with another Amber Alert. This time, it wasn’t about a nuclear incident but the more “standard” child abduction. I didn’t have any information to provide, so I dosed off.
Then, I was reading this week’s “Keep up with Alexa” newsletter from Amazon and read about the weather warning feature. This is a great feature that can be timely and relevant. The question is weather it functions similar to the warning on an Amber Alert. Should a thunderstorm warning be as intrusive as a tornado warning?
As voice-first and connected speakers are becoming more ubiquitous, does it make sense for Amber Alerts or similar warnings to be pushed to these devices?
