Priming for Prime Day

A new date for Prime Day is upon us and it presents us with many things that likely won’t need. It’ll be interesting to see how voice powered devices will play a role in this year’s events. What will be the incentives to order through an Echo device? What will be the deals on Echos?

We know that Echo Dots and similar have had steep discounts during past Prime Days. Sub-$20 Echo Dots have been the norm. This year, the new Echo Dot won’t likely get to that price, being that it’s more of a premium device.

With previous claims of price gouging, Amazon will like steer away from discounts on PPE or toilet paper. However, there might be sales on tablets and streaming services, or laptops.

Prime Day overlaps with the Apple Event, so let’s see how these two giants battle over advertising (with Facebook and Google to benefit).
