Paste Values Only

One of my pet peeves is copying and pasting from webpages into emails or other documents. Right now, pasting with formatting is the default but it seems to be the exception. I’ve tried the shift-command-option-V on mac to now avail. Some commands work while others don’t, some are app dependent.

For now, I resolve to use any field I can find where I can remove the formatting. The URL bar is good. Search bars are good too. Worse case scenario, I open up a text document and paste then cut what I’ve copied.

Pasting with formatting was likely a big advancement for awhile. It’s outlived its usefulness.
