The Famous OWL’s Meat Shop does not likely sell owl meat. It is also unclear whether the shop is famous or whether the owl is famous. I love the ambiguity.
It’s the same for the Big Apple Pie Factory. Is it a big factory, a factory that makes big apple pies, or, in fact, a factory that makes pies that is located at the Big Apple on Highway 401?
While the ambiguity for the above examples is likely accidental, there’s something to be said for purposely building it into an offering and leaving it up to the consumering of the product to decide the meaning. Many memes are built on this, such as the housewives / cat meme:
However, if the ambiguity isn’t intended, better to nip that in the bud quickly.
