Throughout history, professional wailers have been hired to help the bereaved through healing process, inspiring them to express emotion and get closure. This outsourcing was a little different.

A few weeks ago, my little one year old slept through the night. It was a big milestone as it had been months since this had happened before and I suspect that the first time was more on me sleeping through the night than her allowing for it. This time, she slept through the night but I did not.

Well, she had been playing with my phone before bed and unbeknownst to me, she decided to change some settings. Primarily, she had set two alarms. One for 4:30 AM and the other for 5:30 AM. The first had Bixby Alarms and it started to spout out things for me to do for the day. The second was more of a standard alarm. However, it took a few hours to settle down after this and I was just as tired. Basically, she outsourced waking me up to my phone so she wouldn’t have to worry about it.

It would be great for some intelligence to be built into these devices to detect abnormal activity and suggest fixes, especially weird alarms.
