Amazon quietly started posting some new Echo Show videos to its YouTube page yesterday. You can check them out below.

One of the examples they give (movie listing search) is less than compelling. It shows navigating through the screen by voice. This isn’t the best use case. It’s kind of awkward to have to re-trigger the device to say “Scroll right”.

There might be some interesting countertop-themed apps that could play nicely on this form factor (recipes, office sign in, etc). It’d be great to have this platform open up for developers.
