Off to Re:Mars

I’m excited to be off to Amazon Re:Mars. We’ve already seen many developments around voice and AI assistants over the past five years. What we’re likely going to see over the next few years are mash ups of AI in ways we didn’t think would have an impact on us. Right now, companies that are tinkering in these applications will catch the wind with their work as it starts to become more effective.

We’ll see consumer services pop up that didn’t exist before. Personal finances, healthcare, entertainment, transportation — we’re starting to see the first wave of services that are embracing AI and stirring disruption. They’ll finally take root in the next five years that it will seem ridiculous to not use these services.

I’ll be on the lookout for these embers at Re:Mars. Let’s hope they lead to us being better to each other.
