No-Phone Buds

It might be at least five years out, but I’m hoping we’ll get no phone buds. What are they? Ear buds that can work without the need for a cell phone. To work, they’d need:
- Long battery life
- Cellular Internet connectivity
- Edge computing
- Low weight and size
These requirements are going to be difficult to meet but I’m hopeful. The Pebble Core was far ahead of its time and nothing yet has come close to being able to offer what it did. In five years, I’m hoping that at the least, a pair of buds can match what it was purported to do.
