More Voice First Devices in Mainstream
Well done Google and Amazon. You got more plugs from two bigs shows: Modern Family and Mr. Robot. With the former, it was just in time for Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales. Phil ended up asking Google Home questions.
In Mr. Robot this week, one character was playing up her nerdiness to impress a lady. They showcased a Skill that provided info on current crimes in New York. Then, the character put on a romantic playlist. There was another plug for voice devices, where two protagonists taped over the microphones of an OnStar system in a car to prevent eavesdropping.
We likely don’t go a day without the Echo or Home appearing in some mainstream piece. This just illustrates that voice first is becoming the norm.
