More interesting things at Web Summit 2016

The Web Summit in Lisbon last week was an interesting event — a weird combination of large, established technology companies (and banks and consultancies) and very early, smaller startups who one day aspired to be like them. The event itself has a relatively small exhibit space (couple hundred exhibitors) for the number of attendees (50,000+) but has several stages spread out for talks, which, except for the main stage, are almost always at capacity.

Here are just a pictures from the event and some thoughts…

Much of the event is what happens in between the sessions and booths. The Summit did a great job with their app of making seemingly unreachable people easy to speak to through a built in messenger.
