Missing Things
The price might be too high to not miss them

The price we pay to not miss things is high. I’m not talking about investor FOMO but more literal things… missing a call, missing an email, missing someone at the door.
The phone… why do I continue to answer calls when I don’t know who’s calling?
Email… why don’t I batch and check at given times rather than randomly?
Texting? It can wait.
The fear is that it’s something critical or an emergency and that not being reachable will lead to a horrible outset. But to be constantly reachable and responsive means we pay in the quality of our thoughts, our output, our focus, and our health.
Drip endorphin. Drip cortisol.
