It Begins…
Yesterday, I saw my older daughter interacting with our Echo Show. She’s now figured out, for the most part, the cadence between when to say Alexa and then speak a request. It’s successful for about 20% of queries. Why Vanilla Ice? Because that was the request… “Alexa, play Ice Ice Baby”
This request resulted in an impromptu 90’s themed dance party involving a four year old and an 18 month old… at 10:30 PM, way past bed time.
Explicit Filter is set on the Echo and I’m less concerned about inappropriate content on the Echo than showing YouTube or other screen-based media. However, I’m starting to think about how growing up with this technology will affect her.
If it’s always being surrounding by music, that’s a good thing. Similar to what Amazon portrayed in another Superbowl commercial…
