HomePody to Love
It’s been a few years since Apple released the HomePod. It’s a Siri version that came in late to the party and kind of stood in the corner of the room, doing it’s own thing. HomePod is for the Apple enthusiast. That’s OK. If someone is Apple everything, why not have a device that magically synchs with everything else.
If I were Apple, I’m not sure what I’d offer now in a new version of the device. A smaller version that’s more portable? Something with wireless charging? Something with home monitoring capability?
Apple should double down in the audio space, where aficionados likely play. A magical experience would be wireless charging of Apple devices within a foot of the new HomePod. Maybe lights that project onto the ceiling and walls would help create ambiance. This would cement the next HomePod as an experience rather than an Echo or Home competitor.
