Hey Google You

I’ve been saying Hey Google a lot lately, especially in the kitchen where I have a Home Mini. With several Android devices within earshot, it’s kind of an awkward experience.

Typically, whenever the Home is activated, the rest of the Android devices stop listening. Or, the command gets routed to the Home Mini for a response. Sometimes, however, it’s one of the Android devices that picks up while the Home Mini doesn’t hear and then all bets are off for a good experience. Timers won’t be set, music won’t play, calls won’t be placed.

It would be great if Google Assistant-enabled devices had the ability to shut off other same-user registered devices within that same room. This seems doable. Using audio chirping or BLE localization, the Home device could detect other Android devices registered on the same Google account and turn off wake word.
