While being away with family, I had a difficult choice. I could stay up a little bit later and try to squeeze in a daily post that I wrote while half asleep or… I could just go to sleep. I decided to the latter, justifying it as an experiment, and realized the next day how I felt differently when I had enough sleep.
It’s the same with caffeine consumption. For the amount of sleep that I can normally get, taking out caffeine meant struggling to get through most days. I’d be dragging myself off the finish line.
My new mantra is: if in doubt, go to bed.
