Feels Like

“Feels Like” makes a difference when the weather is too hot or too cold. It makes sense if that -1 C requires one to wear an arctic mask vs a regular toque. A few years ago, weather channels started licensing this measurement from AcuRite.
We probably need more “feels like” for different aspects of life. This commute is 20 minutes long but “feels like an hour”. This dental procedure is just a standard cleaning but “feels like a tooth extraction”. This work is actually insightful but “feels like data entry”.
An analog for whatever we’re doing seems to help make things more understandable.
