Echo Auto Is Out

It’s cool to see the first video reviews of Echo Auto. One thorough video is here:

It seems like there’s still some things to be ironed out but this device is a big move forward, especially that so many have been ordered.

As an after market device, Alexa doesn’t need to work so closely with automakers to get into cars. However, it had been working with Ford, Mercedes, BMW, and others on Alexa integration and the Echo Auto kind of gives these device makers the cold shower.

Maybe Amazon is as the point where that doesn’t matter. It can get enough share through selling directly to consumer vs trying to what for proper channels to form.

While the rumours are that millions of people have ordered the Ubi, there is still a chance that Amazon is being cautious in getting these devices out.
