Calling Out Commands

Sometimes, I feel like a first officer on a bridge.
One of my daughters will yell out, “Alexa, set a timer for 15 minutes.”
Alexa won’t respond, so I’ll have to repeat the order.
“Alexa, set a timer for 15 minutes.”
Alexa now responds. “15 minute timer starting now.”
My daughter again. “Alexa, how’s the weather tomorrow?”
“Alexa, how’s the weather tomorrow?” I repeat.
Alexa says “The forecast for tomorrow calls for rain with a low of 12 C and a high of 18”
Starboard 40 degrees.
I’m wondering… how many other households play this new version of broken telephone?
