Both Google Assistant and Alexa offer up visual information cards on search results. These are normally displayed either in the Alexa portal (alexa.amazon.com) or on Android / Google Assistant app or on devices with screens.

However, both Google and Amazon are leaving low hanging fruit on the tree. The browser is a perfect spot for providing a realtime display of what was spoken to the assistant.

Why not offer a full screen mode?

Why not a full screen mode, like in YouTube?

This could turn any PC / laptop into a Google Assistant screen or an Echo Show (minus the video conferencing).

The other low-hanging fruit? A Google Assistant / Alexa Chrome Extension. Or a desktop app. Soon enough…
