Two week ago, Neato announced that its botvac could be commanded through an Alexa Skill on the Echo (or AVS-enabled product). They are the first official robot vacuum to have an Alexa Skill. That said, many a developer has showcased Roomba / Alexa integration:

The concept of command a vacuum cleaner by voice isn’t new. IVEE Sleek showcased this in their Kickstarter video:

The bigger picture here is that theres a desire to be able to get home robots to be controlled by voice. With robots like Pepper, Baxter, and others getting closer to the consumer market, we’re definitely going need to communicate with them quickly and easily.
