Either the training set has improved or the language model is sharper, or I’m just better at writing prompts — but Midjourney seems to be better at drawing a picture of Fibonacci Sequence. Before, it would struggle with shells and cones, but it seems to perform better.

For a short tim when I was contemplating ideas for a startup, I was obsessed with the Golden Ratio and Fibonacci. That there could be a short cut for making something look appealing was intriguing. Apple’s logo and even the iPhone itself was purportedly using it, though not really.

AI quickly mimicking the randomness nature is already playing a role in reducing the effort to create virtual worlds:

If we’re every going to get to the realness of something like a Holodeck, we’re going to be relying on generative tools that mimic nature. We’ve evolved since amoebas to detect and adapt to changes in the environment, so we a re very sensitive when things are off. We might never be able to fully turn off the detection of something being wrong in generated environments, but we may just be able to get to enough realism to have it not distract from a story.
