And before there was Apple Watch, there was also TikTok. TikTok was a Kickstarter project that transformed the iPod Nano into a watch. It would take five years for Apple to come out with its version but the TikTok informed the possibilities.
It’s something about these types of implementations that mesmerize me. It takes something new and extends it further, well beyond what the original designers entailed.
Similar hardware implementations exist for Echos and Homes, iPads and Android Tablets, heck even Roombas. Microsoft Kinect was designed for this type of hacking. Devices that allow or even embrace hackers allow for leaps forward in new technologies.
