With Barbie and Oppenheimer coming out the same day, it’s natural to try to mash them up. The Internet is a-buzz with people going to see the two movies as double-headers, them being seemingly opposites of each other.
However, there is enough overlap to make compelling enough together. Los Alamos and Barbie World were both places where the extraordinary exist and changed people’s perception of reality. Through both, people discovered new things that were possible.
What we are now on the cusp of is something similar to both a Barbie World and a new Manhattan Project. With the tools of generative AI, it feels like humanity is unlocking a new capability that could propel it forward… or be its downfall. It’s likely to help us make another leap and help us create fantasy lands.
