Alexa, Where’s My Stuff?

TrackR just announced it raised $50M, including a big chunk from the Alexa Fund. Of course, the Alexa Fund has some interesting results:

  • Nucleus Intercom ended up getting turned into a competitor through the launch of the Echo Look
  • Kitt.AI developed an Alexa trigger and was acquired by Baidu
  • Ring might be competitive with the Echo Show but the Show is more geared for fashion.

With TrackR, there’s a lot of local data that could be very interesting to Amazon. Can it track when a package shows up in the customer’s house?

I could imagine that Amazon could come up with a similar solution as part of the Dash Buttons it sells.
