Tomorrow, we might see a new Google Home as part of the Made by Google event. I don’t use my Home Mini that often, but today was an exception and I was impressed again by its performance, especially far field, especially in light of how my new Echo Show 5 is not waking up well with a few false rejections.
I was asked to read Disney’s Read A Long for The Three Little Pigs. There, tucked away under a pile of cables, the Google Home Mini was able to pick up on phrases from the book and change the music. I love this application.
The rest of the day, the requester of the reading was busy imaging building houses of different materials.
We need more applications that mix different mediums for immersive experiences. The only resource required is thoughtfulness. I hope tomorrow’s Google event will bring more of that forward.
