One of my monthly experiments almost two years ago was to take a photo a day. It was a meditative practice that allowed me to focus on things that were beautiful in the world.
It came at a time of extreme angst over work and life. A photo a day challenge is a wonderful way to take just a few moments — even one or two minutes to think about the world around us and to see something from fresh eyes.
We need this new perspective from time to time.
The habit forced me to pause every time I saw something different and beautiful and to take it in.
