A Break From A Phone

This morning, in my rush out the door, I forgot my phone. I wasn’t without a phone… I had two other devices… but I didn’t have mine. It meant driving without Waze and Android Auto, it meant no podcasts on the drive. It meant no Android Pay or use of any apps for drive thru. It was also wonderful.

I tuned into the radio, I paid attention to the road, it was exhilarating.

Maybe a device free sabbath is healthy for all of us. Of course, I was extremely fearful that I’d miss a few calls (and I did) but it was all for the better.
