5G or 5 Bars
For the applications that are running on it, I can’t complain about my Android phone’s speed. When it has full coverage, it’s speed is is lightning fast compared to anything I could have imagined 5–8 years ago.
However, that’s when it gets full coverage. Often, I’m stuck in side or in some neighbourhood with bad coverage. In that situation, I’d much rather get better coverage than more throughput. And that’s actually where 5G seems to be more promising.
Some advances aren’t about pushing to a new maximum, but making a maximum more consistent. They’re about brining down the cost of getting to this maximum.
I’m hopefully more 5G phone and coverage will help make all interactions through te phone more consistent.
